Strategic partnership treaty
The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey, hereinafter referred to as «the Parties», Confirming their adherence to the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and other commonly recognized principles and norms of international law supporting peace, security and promoting friendly relations, Affirming their commitment to «Friendship and Cooperation Treaty between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey» dated October 17, 1994, and considering that Treaty as the legal basis of developing and deepening of current and future comprehensive ties, interaction between the two States and their people, Sharing the universal values and ideals in bilateral, regional and global dimensions, Believing that common action towards challenges and counteraction towards threats brought forward by the 21st century enables to contribute to ensuring of global and regional peace, stability and prosperity, Taking into consideration that Eurasian region where the two States are located plays a key role from the view of the future of humanity, including ensuring of global peace, stability and prosperity, promoting human rights, democracy and fundamental freedoms, economic development as well as ensuring of security of energy resources and corridors for its delivery, further promoting of dialogue and tolerance between civilizations, and that there are opportunities for comprehensive cooperation in the region, Believing that promoting of cooperation between Turkic-speaking States, that act as a unique bridge between Europe and Asia and binded by the common roots, values, language and history, serves for the benefit of brother countries as well as the region, and supporting the efforts in this direction, Considering it necessary to deepen economic cooperation of two States by creation of favorable conditions for expansion of trade and investments, Emphasizing the strategic importance of cooperation between the two States in the field of energy in terms of providing energy security, Pursuant to the aim of acting jointly and in coordination in all areas of mutual interest, first of all in politics, economy, defense, culture, science and technique, education, ecology, information and healthcare, Upgrading their relations to comprehensive strategic partnership in line with their common visions, have agreed as follows:
