MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION
OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
AND
THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND ICT
OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA
ON COOPERATION IN THE FIELDS OF
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
(Astana, on the 12th day of june 2024)

Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea (hereinafter collectively referred to as the «The Participants»),

Encouraged by the common desire to promote cooperation in the fields of science and technology,

Believing that such cooperation is a valuable instrument to strengthening the mutual understanding between their countries,

Have reached the following understanding:

Paragraph 1
Purpose

The Participants will support and develop cooperation between the two countries in the fields of science and technology, on basis of the principles of equality and mutual benefit

Paragraph 2
Forms of Cooperation

1. The Participants will support and develop cooperation, including the exchange of outstanding researchers, within the «Bolashak» international scholarship and scientists’ internship program.

2. The Participants will encourage direct cooperation between the higher education institutions of both countries, which will be carried out through the exchange of visits of experts, teachers and professors, as well as through joint conferences, symposiums and seminars.
