Memorandum of Understanding between

the Ministry of Education and Science

of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Science,

Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia

on cooperation in the fields of education and science

The Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of Republic of Croatia, hereinafter referred to as “the Signatories”,

encouraged by common desire to promote cooperation in the fields of education and science;

convinced that such cooperation is a valuable instrument to strengthen the mutual understanding between their countries;

have agreed as follows:

Article 1

The Signatories will support and develop cooperation in the fields of education and science between the two countries on the principles of equality and mutual advantage.

Article 2

The Signatories will encourage the direct cooperation between higher education institutions of both countries, which will be carried out through exchange of visits of experts, teachers and professors in the appropriate field, as well as through joint conferences, symposiums and seminars.

Article 3

The Signatories will encourage the direct cooperation of scientific and research institutions according to their possibilities and needs, which includes the exchange of experiences, joint projects, education and training of experts and researches.

Article 4

The Signatories will support cooperation of their institutions within the framework of educational and scientific programmes of the European Union, the Council of Europe and UNESCO.

Article 5

This Memorandum of Understanding will not affect any rights and obligations of the Signatories arising out of other international agreements by which they are bound.
